We’re hiring ‘Planning Engineer’ for one of our client.

Our client is one of the leading real estate developer based in Sharjah, UAE.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for design phase of construction projects and play a vital role in preparing project programs, monitoring progress, and providing essential reports and analysis to the management team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in project planning, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare a comprehensive program of works for the design phase of construction projects, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• Collaborate with the project team, including architects, engineers, and consultants, to gather project requirements and establish a realistic schedule for design activities.
• Review and analyze project design documentation to identify potential conflicts, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of design tasks, highlighting critical path activities and potential bottlenecks.
• Monitor and track progress of ongoing design projects, regularly updating the program of works based on actual versus planned milestones.
• Prepare and maintain project dashboards and reports, providing accurate and timely updates on project progress, key performance indicators, and potential deviations from the planned schedule.
• Collaborate with the project management team to identify and implement strategies for optimizing the design process, improving efficiency, and minimizing delays.
• Assist in resource allocation and coordination to ensure the availability of necessary resources for design activities.
• Conduct analysis of project data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to enhance the design phase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with the management team, providing comprehensive reports and updates on project status.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience (6-10 years) as a Planning Engineer, specifically in the design phase of construction projects, preferably within a developer construction company.
• Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies, scheduling techniques, and software tools (such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential risks and delays.
• Proficient in creating and managing project programs and schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
